Welcome to
The Waking Space
A place where muscles and minds can relax. Not to mention that secret missing link, your fascia! Come and treat yourself — I mean, when was the last time you did such a thing? Be honest.
I am excited to meet you and help you find your Waking Space!

Why is it called The Waking Space?
There are moments throughout the day when we come out of auto-pilot and are truly Here. That’s what I call the Waking Space. Those beautiful times when we are not anxiously thinking about the future or sadly buried in the past. I always think about those times when people with Alzheimer’s come back to themselves and are here with us for a little while. Like waking up from a dream and realizing you are back home, at least for awhile. Or that moment in the movie Memento where he’s trying hard to stay present before everything slips away again. Those moments of presence happen in the Waking Space. I honestly think those moments are gifts that we can treasure. When we are able to truly be there in our own lives.
It’s my dream to create a space where those moments happen more frequently. One of the best ways to get back to that space is by coming back into our bodies, feeling what’s going on there, and watching as it shifts. Bodywork (especially MFR) is a great example of practicing this and welcoming what comes up for us, letting it be there without fighting it.
